I have worked with several other trainers/nutritionists and I didn't really feel like the other folks helped me put together a focused plan that worked specifically for me. There was a lot of "you could try this or you could try that kind of talk", but with Stephanie she focused on the "what is your plan that is specific to your needs." So before working with Stephanie, I was a bit worried that I was going to spend a lot of time on something that might not produce lasting results. I also didn't have anyone who kept me accountable on a daily basis in a supportive way and that kind of support is something that I really needed.
During the six months with Stephanie, we were able to try out different diet, exercise and lifestyle options so that I could discover(and remember) what would help me achieve my goals. My top two goals were to lose about 10-15lbs and also reduce my cholesterol levels as my Dr. was concerned about them and recommending I go on medication.
I lost 12 lbs and my total cholesterol is down 80+ points therefore, negating the need for medication.
Stephanie works very hard to adapt to what systems work best for your personality type.
With PCOS and other health issues as I approached 50, I gained a lot of weight. My self-esteem was destroyed. Past nutritionists and trainers had little or no effect. Therapy worked, but it was in isolation. I didn’t expect much, but Stephanie is such a positive, encouraging person, I gave her holistic approach a try. I am so glad I did. She combined physical and emotional well-being which is something missing when working with professionals in isolation.
Stephanie quickly identified my strengths and weaknesses, and helped me design a training program. My goals were simple. Lose 10 pounds and regain some personal control. By changing a few habits, I exceeded my expectations. I lost 30+ pounds, gained confidence, reduced stress, my energy levels soared, and my mindset changed.
I never felt hungry or like I was missing out because Stephanie is an amazing resource for excellent, healthy, recipes. She allowed me to make mistakes, take days off, and reflect on making small changes. I have never enjoyed working out. Stephanie encouraged me, kept me going, and held me accountable so I wouldn’t quit. I feel healthier than ever because of her.
